|Saturday, May 12||May's monthly meeting will have some very important items on the agenda, so we urge everyone to attend if possible. We have a lot of Regatta preparations to go over, and we also need to discuss and vote on the renewal of the club's lease at the Outrigger for the next year. Bring snacks or finger foods to share if you like, and the bar will be open as usual. 6pm.
Also, Beforehand ... We're going to have an informal regatta along the bayfront, (weather permitting) similar to last October's Ragtag Regatta, and we are inviting everyone - adults, kids, sailboats, powerboats, whatever - to meet in the South Bay boat ramp adjacent to the new Pavilion, that same Saturday, May 12th at 1:00 pm. We'll have a skippers' meeting, and launch afterwards. We'll run along the shore, around to Grassy Point, and then back.
|Saturday, June 2||It's that time of year again for the annual Coon Island Raft-Up. We'll meet at the South Bay boat ramp on Saturday, June 2, at 11:00 AM, then sail/motor/paddle out to Coon Island, where we'll have a hamburger cookout. It'll be a good time as always, so we hope to see as many of you out there as possible.
Please RSVP if you can attend, and if you have a boat, please let me know how many you can carry, and if you have a head on board. Also, please let me know if you have pop-up shades, small portable grills, etc.
Hope to see you all there!
|Saturday, June 9||Monthly meeting. On the agenda for the meeting, besides the regatta, is the potential change of day and/or time of the monthly meetings. Several ideas were proposed at the last meeting, and we will have a vote this time around. Also, Ted has found a potential small motorboat for the Sailing Instruction program that the club may be interested in buying.
We are going to have a regatta volunteer meeting beforehand, at 5:00 so if you're planning on volunteering for the regatta, please attend if possible.
Again, since we have a full agenda, if you want to bring snacks or finger foods to share, that would be great. As always, the bar will be open for cash customers.
